Any Drawbacks

It’s hard to really find any negatives with this shampoo. There are some that may complain about the 2.5 % peroxide content, as shampoos acquired through your veterinarian tend to have a higher concentration.

We don’t see this as an issue, unless your dog has a very severe mite issue that would require it. The lower concentration is still very effective, and helps to avoid drying your dog’s skin out too much with repeated use.

If we had to make one suggestion it would be to include a pump top on the bottle rather than a screw off lid. This would make applications a little cleaner and more controlled while bathing your dog. This is a packaging issue however, and has nothing to do with what’s inside, something we think matters much more.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better and more cost-efficient shampoo capable of treating multiple issues than this one from Davis. Your dog will be happy, and you’ll be happy knowing that it looks and feels great. Like we said earlier, this is worth keeping around even if you don’t need it in this very moment — you’ll be glad you have it when the need arises.
